Nadine Antler: Though the Fourth Wall & Stay Inspired
Though the Fourth Wall
In this workshop it is all about connecting with your audience. Nadine Antler will work with you on creating a feeling that your show happens with the audience rather than in front of them. We will explore how to make contact without feeling invasive and how to create a warm atmosphere that gives permission to participate in a safe and non-invasive way. And once we’ve managed this…how to keep the interaction alive? With exercises from clowning as well as from improvisation we will work on the right spirit and our hosting skills.
When we lose our inspiration in a scene…can we get it back?
Workshop participants will explore staying inspired, even in stressful situations, and avoiding frustration. We will see how inspiration can be influenced by the way we deal with pressure and the influence of stress. We will explore technique so as not to ‘miss’ the connection with our scene partners and approach dealing with ‘uninspiring’ offers; fighting for our own inspiration without blocking.
This workshop content will be covered by Nadine over 3 separate sessions of 4 hours each with the same group on the 8, 9 & 10 Nov Morning Sessions from 9am – 1pm.
